Riding and walking on Prairie Crossing trails

The stable at Prairie Crossing offers an ideal setting for families wishing to keep a horse within walking distance of their home.

Nestled in the heart of the community, the stable has thirteen stalls, a tack room and a heated lounge. Adjacent to the stable is a large outdoor arena, four paddocks and 16 acres of fenced pasture for daily turnout of the horses.

There are 10 miles of riding trails within the Prairie Crossing community, and many more miles of trails in the Liberty Prairie Reserve can be reached via an underpass under Route 45. (See Site Plan)

Sweetpea the Pig

The stable is managed by the Prairie Crossing Stable Cooperative, which consists of homeowners and others who board their horses. A few other animals, including goats and pot-bellied pigs, make the stable and nearby Prairie Crossing Farm popular destinations for family walks and social gatherings.
